"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well." Psalm 139:14
A Daughter's Journey
Hello! Thanks for popping over to my little corner of the internet! I'm so happy to have you here! I want to take a moment to tell you a little about myself and what inspired me to start this blog and share my life with you!
I'm a Momma of two handsome boys and they truly are my world! My husband and I have been together for 17 years and married for 14. I'm 100% a sports Mom and wouldn't change it for the world. I LOVE cheering my boys on from the sidelines and at times I think I embarrass them, but I know someday they'll appreciate that I was always there as their #1 fan watching them do what they love. Or at least I'm going to keep telling myself that :o)
I work full time as a special education teacher to Kindergarten and First Grade students. My students truly inspire me every day to be the best teacher I can be. They've taught me to never give up even when things get hard. They are amazing little people that put a smile on my face each day.
I try my hardest to start each day devoting time to my faith and growing closer to Jesus and my Heavenly Father. I love to write in my spare time (what little that is), to journal, and to do my best each day to inspire other women and mothers to never forget to chase their dreams.
Three years ago my life completely changed when I lost my mother to cancer in only 3 short months. She passed just before Covid hit and I have struggled to heal from her loss and the changes that Covid has brought our world. One thing that her loss has taught me is that tomorrow is never promised. We have to live for each day and never put off our dreams until tomorrow. We need to be grateful for what each day brings and the blessings God has given us today.
Since the loss of my mother I've worked through many emotions and anxiety. I had lost a spark that I used to have and have struggled to find it. I've been searching for what my purpose is in this world. I love teaching my students but I've always felt that there was more. Through the past three years as I've been healing from my grief I've felt a pull to share my journey and how my faith has been a large part of my healing. I feel that God has pulled me back here as a way to inspire, support, and connect with other women and mothers. Over the years I've struggled through self doubt, grief, trauma, and fears. I know that other women have also faced these same struggles and my hope is that by sharing my journey, my faith, and how I've healed and grown stronger through it all it helps other women know it's all possible. You are so beyond loved, created in God's perfect image, and here because HE has big plans for you. I hope that here through these pages of A Daughter's Journey my story helps you see that you are beyond worthy of amazing things because you are His daughter.
