5 Tips for Better Skincare: Quick and Easy For Busy Moms

As we head into the New Year we always start new resolutions and vow to do better. Often we go full force into the year with big dreams and want to change a lot at once…but what happens? After a few weeks our resolutions fall apart and we can’t stick with it. Why is that? Because we often try to do too much too soon and get burnt out. Am I right?

My advice…start with small simple routines and build new habits. As busy Moms and women we are already doing so much. So adding something like a simple skincare routine can make you FEEL better and only takes a few minutes of your time each day. It can be an easy way to add something small to your day, that's not overwhelming, and it can make you FEEL beautiful!

Today I’m going to share with you the benefits of a simple skincare routine and the different products I offer through my partnering with Senegence that can help make your skin youthful, diminish wrinkles, and feel soft and smooth!

Are you ready to glow into the new year feeling your best?!

So first things first! What are the basics to skincare? Here’s 5 Tips for that Flawless Face you're dreaming of!

Tip 1•Invest in quality products.

You can find skincare products at any pharmacy, grocery store, or Walmart/Target. But they’re not all equal. Good products are going to contain quality ingredients that cleanse and moisturize your skin. Less expensive products are going to have ingredients that can actually do more damage to your skin. You want to seek out products that contain no animal by products, clean ingredients, and free of parabens.

Tip 2• Cleanse Your Skin

Washing your face twice a day is key to having healthy skin. You want to start each day by washing off any dirt, sweat, or oils that have built up on your skin throughout the evening. This way you're not applying makeup on top of any dirt, oils, or bacteria. Throughout the day your skin is a barrier to sun rays, pollutants, free radicals, dirt, and other outside forces that can damage your skin. It’s important to cleanse your skin at night as well to rid your skin of these particles and protect it from continued damage. You want to cleanse your face both morning and evening to wash of any residue, dirt, or particles. It's important to use a good quality product, as previously stated, too assure you're not adding contaminants to your skin, over drying it, or adding additional oils.

Tip 3• Moisturize your skin

Most people are mislead to believe that if you break out or have a hand that your skin is oily and moisturizer is going to make it worse. But did you know that your skin could be dry? Or a combination of dry and oily? Using the right moisturizer is important. Your skin could be trying to moisturize itself by creating more oils and you need to help create balance.

Tip 4• Exfoliate

Exfoliating your skin is going to get rid of any dry, damaged, or dead skin. This is what makes your skin feel SOFT and RENEWED! Exfoliating your skin is also what helps give you that fresh, flawless, and smooth look. Trying to put makeup on top of dry or dead skin is going to make it more difficult and you're not going to get a smooth look.

•Tip 5• Treat your skin with care!

Your skin is the largest organ on your body and it’s job is to protect all of the vital organs inside! We often forget about how important it’s job is! Protect and care for it! There are a variety of amazing products I’ll be sharing with you here in my blog as well as through my Beauty Empowered page on Facebook to help refresh, renew, and revitalize your skin! Some come back and visit again!

Final Tip:

Most women don't follow the proper routines to care for their skin for a few reasons. One is lack of knowledge, which I'm hoping to help you with. It can be confusing with so much information out there. I'm hoping to make it easier for you to know just what to do and in a way that fits into your busy schedule. I also hope that providing you with knowledge of quality products will help you not feel so overwhelmed in trying to find what works. Lastly cost can also deter you, however there are ways around making good quality products affordable.
